Windfall IN 46076 6-8 months with potential extensions based on their performance.
Requested Pay Rate $17.
50 Start:
Need 2 on 2/20 and 4 on 3/6 End:

If a good worker, they'll likely be extended past harvest.

The Research Assistant will perform a variety of routine tasks associated with the Windfall, IN multi crop research station.
The tasks will include any or all of those described for the Field and Processing Worker, organization of samples during corn/soy/wheat Planting or Harvest.
The type of task will be dependent on the stage of the annual research program and will be seasonal in nature.
Tasks may be performed in an indoor and/or outdoor setting.
The Assistant must be able to understand and follow both written and oral instructions.
He/She normally receives general instructions on routine tasks and detailed instructions on new tasks.
The work will be closely supervised.
Responsibilities:
As with the Field and Processing Worker, can be responsible for performing a wide range of tasks or a specific task depending on the stage of the seasonal research program.
Tasks may include:
Field research operations related to planting, thinning, weeding, pollinations and sample harvest.
Sample processing operations including preparation of supplies, sorting, scanning, weighing, preparation for shipping and seed packaging.
General facility operations including general clean-up, organization of samples and supplies, and other routine tasks as they arise.
The Research Assistant may also perform additional tasks as requested by the supervising Field Technician.
Inside Work = Take Inventory, Computer work:
scanning bar codes; Filling and sorting seed.
Reliable, follows instructions, Safety conscious Basic computer, iPad skills Outdoor work - later in the year (Mid/Late May - June):
Heat, mud, dust - hands on work - Day to Day:
Placing wooden garden stakes in the fields, pulling samples from Wheat fields & loading into bags; Pull weeds in Field; Plant Sampling (cut leaves & ears and place into bin to take samples); cross pollinations.
Tasks can change day to day and be fast paced.
PPE:
we supply all PPE that would be needed except for Steel Toed Boots, which are only required for certain work.
They most likely would not need those right away, and we would reimburse them if we tell them to go get some or order them.
